Automating Legal Documents

Legal documents are supposed to conform to some set formatting. Most lawyers use a pre-formatted earlier document and edit the new drafting over it. This is apparently a convenient way of drafting pleadings, motions or other documents. But a document often contains some texts that need to inserted in various places within the document over and over again. For example, in an Affidavit-in-Opposition to a Writ Petition, the Writ Petition number, year and the party they are representing have to be typed in many places. Finding out the those places and manually changing all those parts is a tiresome and boring task. What if those texts could be inserted once for each document and then those texts would automatically be inserted in others places as well? Well, this can be done in several ways. What I find most convenient is using custom document Properties and inserting them by a Field called DocProperty. দলীল রেজিস্ট্রেশন ফি

২০১৪ সালের সরকারী আদেশ অনুসারে রেজিস্ট্রেশন ফীঃ সাধারণভাবে দলীলের উল্লেখিত মূল্যের ২%, তবে এই ফী ১০০ টাকার নিচে হবে না।  বায়নানামার ক্ষেত্রে সম্পত্তির মূল্য পাঁচ লাখ টাকার মধ্যে হলে ৫০০ টাকা, পাঁচ লাখের বেশি হলে ১০০০ টাকা আর পঞ্চাশ লাখ টাকার বেশি হলে ২০০০ টাকা।  নিকটাত্মীয়দের মধ্যে সম্পত্তি দান করা হলে ১০০ টাকা। বন্ধকের ক্ষেত্রে ঋণের পরিমান পাঁচ লাখ টাকার মধ্যে হলে ১% (২০০ থেকে ৫০০ টাকা), পাঁচ লাখের বেশি হলে ০.২৫% (১৫০০ থেকে ২০০০ টাকা) আর বিশ লাখ টাকার বেশি হলে ০.১০% (৩০০০ থেকে সর্বোচ্চ ৫০০০ টাকা)। সম্পত্তি বাটোয়ারার ক্ষেত্রে ৫০০ থেকে ২০০০ টাকা। ট্রাস্ট দলীলের উল্লেখিত মূল্য চার হাজার টাকার বেশি হলে ২৫০০ টাকা। দলীলে বর্ণিত সম্পত্তি বা স্বার্থের উল্লেখিত মূল্য না থাকলে ১০০ টাকা। অপ্রত্যাহারযোগ্য পাওয়ার অফ অ্যাটোর্নির ক্ষেত্রে মূল্যের ২%, তবে ১০০ টাকার কম না এবং ৪০,০০০ টাকার বেশি না। উইল, দত্তক নেয়ার ক্ষমতা এর জন্য ২০০ টাকা। দলীলের মূল্য নির্ধারণের পদ্ধতিঃ হস্তান্তর বা বিক্রির ক্ষেত্রে বিক্রয় মূল্য, দানের ক্ষেত্রে সম্পত্তির মূল্য। লিজ-এর ক্ষেত্রেঃ মেয়াদ এক বছরের কম...

টিউশন ফী এর ওপর ভ্যাট কেন নয়

“বেসরকারী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়গুলো যে এত এত টাকা আয় করতেছে, তাদের কাছ থেকে ট্যাক্স নিলে সমস্যা কী?” সমস্যা আছে। আইন অনুযায়ী বেসরকারী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় কোন লাভজনক কিংবা ব্যবসা প্রতিষ্ঠান না। বেসরকারী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের কোন মালিক নেই, শেয়ারহোল্ডার নেই। প্রতিটা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় পরিচালিত হয় একটা ট্রাস্টের মাধ্যমে। টিউশন ফি থেকে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের যে আয় হয়, তা কোন মুনাফা না, বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় চালানোর কাজেই সেই টাকা ব্যয় করতে হয়। বেসরকারী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় আইন, ২০১০ এ বলা আছেঃ “৪৪(৭) কোন বেসরকারী বিশ্ববিদ্যাল য়ের সাধারণ তহবিলের অর্থ উক্ত বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের প্রয়োজনীয় ব্যয় ব্যতীত অন্য কোন উদ্দেশ্যে ব্যয় করা যাইবে না।” সরকার আইন করে বলবে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় ব্যবসা করতে পারবে না, আবার সরকারই বাজেট করে বলবেঃ "লাভ করতেছো, ভাগ দাও", এটা কেমন কথা? “বেসরকারী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়গুলোতে যারা পড়ে, তাদের বাপের তো অনেক টাকা! এত টাকা দিয়ে সন্তান পড়াতে পারবে, আর ট্যাক্স দিতে পারবে না?” না, কারণ বাপের টাকার উপর আগে থেকেই আয়কর ধার্য করা আছে। আর শিক্ষা তো আলু পটলের মতো পণ্য না যে টাকা যতবার হাত বদল হবে, বারবার ট্যাক্স দিয়েই যেত...

If you have the text or Microsoft word file: Open the file in Microsoft word and select the body text. change the font to Solaimanlipi . change font size to 17, change line spacing to 1.5, make the text justified, Save the file. Install and Open Calibre on your computer. Click Add book and open the Word file with Calible. Select the book and click Convert books. In Look and Feel tab, select Embed referenced fonts. Select utf-8 in input character encoding. Select Solaimanlipi in Embed font family. In Page Set up, select your ebook reader. Make other adjustments if necessary. Click OK and wait for the conversion to complete. Open the Calibre library folder and find your .epub or .mobi ebook file. Transfer the file to your ebook reader and open it. All deaths are not equal. Some deaths deserve anniversaries to be remembered every year. Some deaths are meant to be forgotten for ever. Some deaths make a difference, inspire a revolution, frees a nation. Some deaths were necessary to maintain law and order situation. Some deaths are unacceptable, intolerable, violate every kind of law. Some deaths are just another dead body killed in the line of fire. Some deaths are heartbreaking tragedies, some deaths are mere numbers. Some deaths are all over the national news. Some deaths are incidents only the passersby saw. Some deaths cannot be denied, some deaths are only alleged. Not all deaths are equal. Some deaths count, some deaths don't.

সেই ছোটবেলার জিনিসগুলো

ইয়ো-ইয়ো কোকাকোলার সাথে ফ্রি পাওয়া যেতো। আবার আলাদাও কিনতে পাওয়া যেত। নাম ইয়ো-ইয়ো। আঙ্গুলে সুতা আটকে এই জিনিস ঘুরানো হতো, যদিও অতো ভাল পারতাম না। প্রথম দেখি ১৯৯৩ সালের দিকে। টিনের পিস্তল এই রকম টিনের পিস্তলের সাথে ব্যবহারের জন্য বারুদ দেয়া কাগজ পাওয়া যেত। গুলি করলে ফটফট শব্দ হতো। বৈশাখী মেলা থেকে কিনেছিলাম। টিনের জাহাজ পানিতে চলে। এর মধ্যে কেরোসিন তেল রেখে তাতে কাপড়ের সলতে চুবিয়ে তার মাথায় আগুন দিতে হয়। সেই আগুনের ফলে ভটভট শব্দ তুলে পুকুরে জাহাজ চলতে থাকে। ইচ্ছা ছিল বৈশাখী মেলা থেকে এরকম একটা জাহাজ কিনবো, কিন্তু আর কেনা হয় নাই। টাকা ছিল না মনে হয়। ১৯৯৭ সালের কথা। ক্যাসিও ঘড়ি ক্লাস ফোরের বার্ষিক পরীক্ষায় রোল নম্বর এক হলে একটা ঘড়ি কিনে দেয়ার কথা ছিল। রোল নম্বর হল তিন। তাতে কি, ফাইভে বৃত্তি পরীক্ষা দিতে হবে, ঘড়ি না থাকলে সময় দেখবো কীভাবে? ঢাকা থেকে আব্বু নিয়ে আসলেন ক্যাসিও ডিজিটাল ঘড়ি। সারাদিন অকারণে হাত উঁচু করে সময় দেখি। মাঝে মাঝে শুধু ভাব নেয়ার জন্য ঘড়ির দিকে তাকাই। হাত নামানোর পর মনে হয়, আরে কয়টা বাজে সেটাই তো দেখা হয় নাই। সাথে সাথে আরেকবার ঘড়ি দেখি! জ্যামিতি বক্স ...

Access Files on your Computer from your Phone

This is a tutorial on how to access files and folders on your computer from an android device over WiFi network. Share some folders in your PC. To do this, click on a folder and select Share With> Homegroup (Read) . You can also choose Homegroup (Read/Write) for folders you want to modify from the mobile. Open Run from start menu or Press Windows+R . Type control userpasswords2 and hit enter. Select HomeGroupUser$ , click on Reset Password . Now type a new password. Connect your PC and Phone to the same WiFi connection. If you don't have a Wifi router, then this can be done by using Connectify Hotspot software. Install ES File Explorer on your android phone. In ES File Explorer, Go to Network>LAN>Search . The first IP that appears is your computer’s IP. Long click on it, choose Edit Server .
