This is a tutorial on how to access files and folders on your computer from an android device over WiFi network. Share some folders in your PC. To do this, click on a folder and select Share With> Homegroup (Read) . You can also choose Homegroup (Read/Write) for folders you want to modify from the mobile. Open Run from start menu or Press Windows+R . Type control userpasswords2 and hit enter. Select HomeGroupUser$ , click on Reset Password . Now type a new password. Connect your PC and Phone to the same WiFi connection. If you don't have a Wifi router, then this can be done by using Connectify Hotspot software. Install ES File Explorer on your android phone. In ES File Explorer, Go to Network>LAN>Search . The first IP that appears is your computer’s IP. Long click on it, choose Edit Server .
