Legal documents are supposed to conform to some set formatting. Most lawyers use a pre-formatted earlier document and edit the new drafting over it. This is apparently a convenient way of drafting pleadings, motions or other documents. But a document often contains some texts that need to inserted in various places within the document over and over again. For example, in an Affidavit-in-Opposition to a Writ Petition, the Writ Petition number, year and the party they are representing have to be typed in many places. Finding out the those places and manually changing all those parts is a tiresome and boring task. What if those texts could be inserted once for each document and then those texts would automatically be inserted in others places as well? Well, this can be done in several ways. If you have the text or Microsoft word file: Open the file in Microsoft word and select the body text. change the font to Solaimanlipi . change font size to 17, change line spacing to 1.5, make the text justified, Save the file. Install and Open Calibre on your computer. Click Add book and open the Word file with Calible. Select the book and click Convert books. In Look and Feel tab, select Embed referenced fonts. Select utf-8 in input character encoding. Select Solaimanlipi in Embed font family. In Page Set up, select your ebook reader. Make other adjustments if necessary. Click OK and wait for the conversion to complete. Open the Calibre library folder and find your .epub or .mobi ebook file. Transfer the file to your ebook reader and open it. Some deaths make a difference, inspire a revolution, frees a nation. Some deaths were necessary to maintain law and order situation. Some deaths are unacceptable, intolerable, violate every kind of law. Some deaths are just another dead body killed in the line of fire. Some deaths are heartbreaking tragedies, some deaths are mere numbers. Some deaths are all over the national news. Some deaths are incidents only the passersby saw. Some deaths cannot be denied, some deaths are only alleged. Not all deaths are equal. Some deaths count, some deaths don't.

ছোট বেলায় ফাল্গুনের এক বিকেলে একটা ছোট শহরের প্রান্তে হাঁটতে হাঁটতে দেখি গাছের নিচে সুন্দর কিছু ফুল পড়ে আছে। যার সাথে হাঁটছিলাম সে বললো এর নাম পলাশ ফুল। দেখতে চমৎকার, তবে কোন ঘ্রাণ নেই। কিন্তু ফুলের ভেতরে ধনুকের মত বাঁকানো সাদা টিউবটা বের করে তারও ভিতরের লাল অংশটা ফেলে দিলে এটাকে ঠোঁটে নিয়ে বাঁশির মত বাজানো যায়। এরপর থেকে পলাশ ফুল দেখলেই এরকম বাঁশি বানাতাম। অনেক বছর পরে আজ আরেক ফাল্গুনে এই সব মনে পড়লো আর কি। সেই শৈশব, সেই শান্ত ছোট শহর, সেই পলাশ ফুলের বাঁশি!

What's so offensive about looking at someone's face? If a woman is sitting right in front of a person, it is arguably rather offensive not to look her face and and just stare down at their own feet. Looking at someone's face is by definition the farthest thing from treating them as objects. ইবুক পড়ে বাস্তবের বইয়ের মত আরাম পাওয়া যায় না। প্রিন্ট করে পড়তে পারলে ভালো হয়। কিন্তু A4 সাইজের বিশাল কাগজের একদিকের পাতায় যে প্রিন্ট বের হয় তাতে পেপারব্যাক পড়ার মজা পাওয়া যায় না। একটা কাগজে চারটার বদলে মাত্র একটা পৃষ্ঠা প্রিন্ট হওয়ায় কাগজের অপচয় হয়। কাজেই সফট কপি থেকে পেপারব্যাকের মতো প্রিন্টেড বই বানানোর মিশনে নেমে পড়লাম। মাইক্রোসফট ওয়ার্ডে বুকলেট প্রিন্ট নামে একটা অপশন আছে। এর মাধ্যমে একেকটা কাগজে চার পৃষ্ঠা প্রিন্ট হয়, সেগুলোকে মাঝখানে ভাজ করে স্টাপলার করে দিলেই পেপারব্যাকের মত বই হয়ে যায়। কাজটা করতে হলে যে সব ধাপ অনুসরণ করতে হয় তা হলোঃ Page Layout > Margins > Custom Margins > Multiple Pages > Bookfold. তারপর প্রিন্ট দিতে হয়। যদি প্রিন্টার Autoduplex সাপোর্ট না করে তাহলে প্রিন্ট করার সময় Manual Duplex টিক দিতে হবে। অটো ডুপ্লেক্স হলো অটোমেটিক্যালি কাগজের উভয় পাশে প্রিন্ট করার ক্ষমতা। এটা না থাকলে সবগুলো কাগজের এক পাশে প্রিন্ট হওয়ার পর হাত দিয়ে সেগুলোকে উলটে আবার প্রিন্টার দিতে হয়, ফলে অন্য পাশেও প্রিন্ট হয়। নিয়ম মতো সবই করলাম, কিন্তু কাজ হলো না। প্রিন্ট দেয়ার পরেও ...

After watching Dui Duari , I wondered why this movie did not get the focus that other Humayun Ahmed's works like Srabon Megher Dine did.  Here we see a stranger, a man with no name, gets into the house of a family due to an accident and then starts to bring some changes into the lives of the members of that family. This seemingly Himu like character is distinguished from Himu in that "the Himus do nothing, they just watch" (quoted from Aj Robibar, a TV series). But here the mysterious man is motivated to do something in the pretext of doing nothing.  In IMDb, the title is marked as a video making me wonder is it a cinema proper or a Natok with some songs in it. But that makes little difference as long as it is made by Humayun. There are typical Humayunic humor and storyline in this movie. The music was great, particularly the title song in the voice of Agun 'Mathay Porechhi Shada Cap' was awesome. I rated this movie with 8/10 stars.

Expectation is not a frequently used word in the legal arena. Legal minds are often absorbed in the crowd of rights, duties, obligations, liabilities and other objective terms. If you don’t have any right recognised by law, I have no corresponding duty to act in your favour. So it does not matter what you expect from others. In order to get something, you must have some right, mere expectation will do no good. But does it mean that law does not recognise any expectation of the citizens if it lacks the legal elements that constitute rights? If any public authority says that it will provide a certain facility, will be fair to say that the expectation of the citizens that the facility will actually be provided unjustified simply because the authority is not legally bound to provide the same?
